15-year-old boy charged with murder in the death of a Norristown man reportedly connected to gang rivalry.

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with first-degree murder following the shooting death of a 20-year-old man last month in Norristown, Pennsylvania. The incident, which took place within the context of a reported gang feud, underscores ongoing tensions linked to prior violence and social media exchanges.

Kaleem Naseer Roland, who resides in Norristown and is set to turn 16, stands accused of fatally shooting Tahaj Andru “Pooh” Harrison on May 23, around 9:45 PM, on the 600 block of Corson Street. Authorities report that Harrison was discovered by police in the rear yard of his home, where he succumbed to his injuries after collapsing near his mother.

In connection with this case, Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele announced an arrest warrant for 17-year-old Naseem Worrell, also of Norristown, for his alleged role in the murder of Harrison. A reward of ,000 has been offered for information leading to Worrell’s apprehension. Additionally, a third shooter involved in the incident remains unidentified.

The ongoing investigation indicates that Harrison’s murder was part of a larger conflict involving two rival factions: the Grimy Boys/6’s, to which Harrison allegedly belonged, and the All Black Bandits/300’s, associated with Worrell. The investigation outlines that these factions comprise several groups, suggesting a complex web of gang affiliations that have manifested in violent confrontations.

Evidence presented in a police affidavit indicates that tensions escalated prior to the shooting due to social media interactions. Hours before Harrison’s death, an exchange between him and Worrell revealed ongoing animosities related to recent violence, including the shooting death of a 15-year-old in Philadelphia just days earlier. This particular incident seemed to trigger a hostile response from Worrell, who perceived an Instagram post by Harrison as disrespectful.

In the aftermath of Harrison’s murder, members of the All Black Bandits/300’s reportedly celebrated on social media, using the hashtag #Murk4Pop, which further illustrates the culture of violence and retaliation among these groups. Notably, the affidavit cites that at least two other affiliates of the Grimy Boys/6’s have been killed since 2022, highlighting a troubling trend of ongoing violence in the area.

Surveillance footage collected from the scene corroborates witness accounts, showing three individuals firing at Harrison before fleeing. Ballistic evidence recovered indicates the use of three different firearms during the incident. Currently, Roland faces charges related to the murder and is being held without bail at the Montgomery County Youth Detention Center, with a preliminary hearing scheduled.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about Worrell’s whereabouts or the unidentified shooter to contact Montgomery County Detectives or the Norristown Police. The case remains a pointed reminder of the pervasive issues of gang violence and the influence of social media in escalating conflicts among youth.
