2025 Will Mark Key Milestones and Drive Momentum in Various Sectors.
The holiday season serves as a poignant reminder to extend our support to those in need. For the Caterpillar Foundation, it is also an opportunity to reflect on the strides made toward community impact over the past year. Established in 1952, the Foundation reached a significant milestone in 2025, surpassing billion in total global donations. This achievement represents more than seven decades of collaborative efforts with grantees, as well as contributions from Caterpillar employees and retirees, aimed at fostering resilient communities and driving lasting, positive changes worldwide.
As the Foundation commemorates this landmark, it emphasizes that this success is merely the beginning. Throughout 2025, it maintained its commitment to various charitable endeavors. This year marked the commencement of a year-long celebration for Caterpillar Inc.’s centenary. As part of its Centennial World Tour, the Foundation extended its reach to Caterpillar employees across more than 120 sites globally, donating to local causes that align with the interests of those employees. In total, nearly million was contributed to more than 70 charities in 21 countries, supporting essential services such as food banks, shelters, hospitals, and educational institutions.
Returning to its roots in Peoria, Illinois, where it made its first donation, the Foundation awarded ,000 each to local organizations including Dream Center Peoria and Midwest Foodbank of Illinois. Additionally, the Irving, Texas tour stop saw the Foundation provide ,000 to Irving Cares, a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting families facing financial hardship.
Moreover, through its Matching Gifts and Volunteer Service Match programs, Caterpillar employees contributed over 1,200 volunteer hours, facilitating 0,000 in donations to 160 food-related charities across the globe. The Foundation’s commitment to education and workforce development was highlighted through its collaboration with Learning Undefeated, which introduced the Breakout Box, a mobile lab offering hands-on STEM experiences to middle and high school students.
In December, the Caterpillar Foundation and Caterpillar announced a substantial commitment of over .2 million pledged to United Way chapters and partner agencies throughout the Americas. This effort aligns with their recognition as a Leading Corporate Partner President’s Circle member, supporting 508 out of the 1,100 United Way chapters.
