On Wednesday, law enforcement officials released images and video footage portraying one of the suspected gunmen, who allegedly discharged over 110 rounds at the gathering, generating widespread panic as attendees fled for cover. The released surveillance video shows a man, characterized by a beard and long hair tied back in a ponytail, dressed in black, moving back and forth while brandishing what appears to be a handgun, all amidst the swirling chaos of fleeing partygoers.
As of this reporting, no arrests have been made, and authorities have not established a motive for the attack. Prior to this revelation, police had disseminated images of additional individuals believed to be involved in the shooting and are actively seeking public assistance in identifying these suspects.
The violence erupted shortly before 1 a.m. on July 7, as gunfire broke out on the densely populated street. The party reportedly drew a crowd of approximately 100 attendees, many of whom scrambled for safety, taking refuge on nearby porches. When the bullets ceased, law enforcement reported that a total of 12 individuals had sustained gunshot wounds, three of whom tragically lost their lives. Among the deceased were 19-year-old Jason Reese, who succumbed to a fatal head injury shortly after the shooting, 23-year-old Zahir Wylie from Overbrook, who was fatally shot in the chest, and Azir Harris, 24, a man previously paralyzed from an earlier shooting, who died after being struck multiple times in the back.
