Suspect identified in Tennessee family’s murders linked to abandoned baby case.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has identified a suspect in the tragic quadruple murder of a family, following the discovery of an abandoned infant in a car. Austin Robert Drummond, 28, is sought on multiple charges, including four counts of first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a firearm during a dangerous felony.

Authorities have classified Drummond as armed and dangerous, providing a description of him as standing approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing around 190 pounds. He is believed to be driving a damaged 2016 Audi A3 with Tennessee plates. The TBI has urged the public to remain vigilant and has requested assistance in locating Drummond.

The bodies of the victims were discovered on Tuesday night, shortly after a 7-month-old baby girl was found unharmed in a car seat at a nearby residence situated approximately 40 miles from the crime scene. The infant, who remains unidentified, was left at what officials describe as a random home. Investigators confirmed that the deceased individuals are connected to the abandoned baby. They include the infant’s parents, 21-year-old Matthew Wilson and 20-year-old Adrianna Williams; the baby’s maternal grandmother, 38-year-old Cortney Rose; and 15-year-old Braydon Williams, Adrianna’s brother and the child’s uncle.

Drummond’s history with the family is significant; reports indicate that he previously dated Cortney Rose’s sister. The TBI has yet to disclose a motive for the alleged killings, which has left many family members and the public in shock. One relative expressed deep sorrow on social media, indicating that the family had once cared for Drummond and had trusted him, emphasizing the unexpected nature of the tragedy.

As the investigation continues, authorities are appealing to anyone with information about Drummond’s whereabouts to contact them. The TBI has provided various contact numbers for members of the public to report any tips, underscoring the seriousness of this ongoing investigation.

This incident has raised questions about the dynamics of trust and violence within familial relationships, as statistics show that many violent acts occur between individuals who are known to each other. The community is reeling from this horrific event, with many hoping for swift justice in the wake of such tragic circumstances.
