Following the tragic event, Santos allegedly traveled approximately 25 miles to Piscataway, where he took his own life by self-infliction in his vehicle.
In the wake of the incident, Police Chief Timothy Snyder and Sergeant Kevin Bollaro from the Franklin Township police force have been placed on administrative leave, while Captain Paul Approvato has been appointed to serve as the interim officer-in-charge.
