Pennsylvania woman charged with DUI after injuring three people at Labor Day festival.

Three individuals remain hospitalized following a distressing incident at the Kipona Festival in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where a minivan veered off its course and drove through a crowded area during the Labor Day festivities. Authorities have confirmed that among those injured is a 6-year-old boy, who is currently reported to be in critical condition.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as Elizabeth Bohrer, has been charged with several offenses, including three counts of aggravated assault by vehicle, as well as aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence of alcohol. The incident occurred on September 1, 2025, around 6 p.m., during the final day of the annual festival that celebrates Native American heritage in the region.

According to statements from the Harrisburg Bureau of Police, Bohrer’s minivan breached barricades specifically placed to protect festival attendees. Witnesses reported that the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed and continued forward until it struck multiple objects in its path, eventually careening across several blocks before coming to a halt. In the chaos, a wheelchair-bound woman and a man employed by the city’s traffic engineering department also sustained injuries.

As of the latest reports, the two adults involved have been declared stable, while the young boy’s condition remains a significant concern for medical professionals and authorities. The names of the injured individuals have not been publicly disclosed.
