Bucks County man charged with additional counts in child pornography case as more victims are identified, according to the District Attorney.
A man from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, was charged with additional offenses related to child exploitation after authorities identified further victims. Mark Wills, 60, had previously been arrested in February during an investigation into allegations that he had coaxed underage girls to produce pornographic materials.
The investigation commenced in December following alerts from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Court documents reveal that Wills allegedly posed as a teenage boy online, soliciting four girls to send nude photographs and videos over a year-long period beginning in January 2024. During a hearing on Wednesday, Wills waived his preliminary proceedings, and Chief Deputy District Attorney Kristin McElroy announced that four additional victims had been identified, bringing the total to eight.
Wills’ online activities were traced back to accounts on social media platforms such as Kik and Snapchat, where he reportedly disseminated child pornography as early as August. Both accounts were linked to an IP address associated with Wills’ residence in Hulmeville. During a subsequent search of his home, investigators uncovered child pornography on various electronic devices, including cell phones, computers, and USB drives. These devices reportedly contained hours of recorded material featuring underage girls whom Wills had encouraged to undress and engage in sexual acts.
The investigation indicated that Wills maintained multiple fake identities to communicate with his victims, including a handwritten list containing names, email addresses, and fabricated dates of birth. It was also noted that he used these social media accounts to share pornographic content with unspecified individuals.
In an alarming turn of events, following the search of his residence but before formal charges were laid, Wills withdrew his life savings and fled to West Virginia. He was ultimately apprehended by U.S. marshals at a mall location with little more than a backpack at his side.
Wills is scheduled for arraignment in county court on May 23. The case highlights significant concerns about the dangers posed by online predators and the importance of vigilance in protecting children from exploitation in digital environments. Authorities continue to address these issues and urge individuals to report suspicious activities involving the safety of minors.
