Diddy sponsors Thanksgiving dinner for 1,000 inmates.
Sean “Diddy” Combs has reportedly taken the initiative to provide a Thanksgiving dinner for approximately 1,000 inmates at FCI Fort Dix, New Jersey, an undertaking noted to be substantial by prison standards. Currently serving a 50-month sentence for multiple counts related to transportation for prostitution, Combs organized this effort through a group known as Bankroll Bosses. A representative confirmed that they procured food supplies from the prison commissary and dedicated two days to preparing the meals.
The distribution was meticulously planned, with meals allocated to each housing unit at Fort Dix, ensuring that every building received enough food to serve around 200 individuals. According to former gang leader B.I., who assisted in the organization of this event, the traditional Thanksgiving menu featured turkey roast along with classic side dishes such as mashed potatoes, corn, and various desserts.
In remarks about this initiative, Combs emphasized the importance of community during the holidays. He stated that Thanksgiving is fundamentally about ensuring that others have enough to eat, especially since many inmates struggle with feelings of isolation from their families during this time of year. He spoke of the strong sense of brotherhood that exists among inmates, suggesting that despite the difficult environment, there remains a semblance of family.
This marks Combs’ second Thanksgiving in custody following his arrest in September 2024. Prior to his transfer to Fort Dix, he spent over 13 months in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center as he faced serious charges related to what has been labeled “elaborate sex performances” known as “freak-offs.” Ultimately, he avoided a possible life sentence after being acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering charges in July.
On October 30, 2025, Combs was moved to the low-security Fort Dix facility, approximately 35 miles northeast of Philadelphia. His legal team specifically requested this transfer due to the prison’s drug treatment unit, which is designed to assist inmates with substance abuse issues. Successful completion of this program could potentially lead to a reduction in his sentence.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons has indicated that Combs’ release date is set for June 4, 2028. However, he is currently appealing his convictions, and a judge has recently approved an expedited appeals process, with a possible hearing expected as early as April 2026.
