Disneyland is set to embrace the cultural richness of Asia during its upcoming Lunar New Year celebration at Disney California Adventure, taking place from January 23 to February 22, 2026. This year’s event, which commemorates the Year of the Horse, promises a vibrant intersection of culinary delights and multicultural entertainment that highlights traditions from Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean cultures.

Visitors will be greeted by beloved Disney characters, including Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, who will don traditional Korean-inspired attire. Additionally, the character Horace Horsecollar, originating from a 1929 Disney cartoon, will join in the festivities, symbolically honoring the equine theme this Lunar New Year.

The festival will showcase an array of live entertainment, including a unique performance featuring characters from Pixar’s acclaimed film “Turning Red,” which tells the story of a spirited, ambitious 13-year-old Chinese-Canadian girl named Meilin Lee.
