Police arrest suspect in fatal stabbing of 51-year-old Harlem father of three.

Police have arrested a 32-year-old man in connection with the fatal stabbing of a Harlem resident, a father of three, during an altercation in mid-August. The suspect, identified as Prince Nunnally, faces charges of murder and criminal possession of a weapon following the incident that left Raymond Page, a 51-year-old father, dead.

According to law enforcement officials, the confrontation occurred on August 15 around 1:20 PM on West 128th Street near Frederick Douglass Boulevard. Reports indicate that Nunnally allegedly engaged in a physical struggle with Page, throwing him to the ground and delivering multiple punches before using a knife to inflict severe injuries. Police responding to the scene found Page with multiple stab wounds across his body. Emergency Medical Services transported him to Harlem Hospital, where he was ultimately pronounced dead.

In the aftermath of the attack, Meredith Page, the victim’s ex-wife, expressed her shock and confusion over the incident. She noted that Page, who had recently undergone surgery and experienced significant weight loss, was not the type of person involved in violent altercations. She described him as a homebody and a dedicated father to his 18-year-old twin sons and his 15-year-old daughter. The circumstances surrounding the confrontation have raised questions, as both Nunnally and Page were reportedly familiar with each other prior to the violence.

Nunnally was apprehended following a police investigation; authorities had circulated his image widely in hopes of obtaining information from the public. Details pertaining to how exactly police located him remain unclear. Nunnally was arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court, where Judge Jeffrey Gershuny ordered him to be held without bail at Rikers Island.

The family of Raymond Page, including his uncle David Page, has been vocal about the tragedy of losing a loved one in such a violent manner. David Page remarked on the physical disparity between the accused and his nephew, highlighting that Nunnally weighed significantly more than Page, who was described as frail in the aftermath of his medical issues.

As the legal proceedings continue, Nunnally is expected to appear in court again on Thursday. The homicide has left a lasting impact on the community, prompting discussions about safety and violence in Harlem, particularly involving its most vulnerable residents. The investigation is ongoing, as authorities work to piece together the events that led to this tragic incident.

This incident underscores the complexities of urban safety concerns and the ramifications of violence on families and communities.
