A 45-year-old man from Warminster, Pennsylvania, who fled to his native El Salvador after being charged with sex crimes against children, has been extradited back to Bucks County to face serious allegations of sexual assault. Noel Yanes was apprehended and returned to the United States after spending nearly eleven months evading law enforcement.

Yanes faces multiple charges, including rape, statutory sexual assault of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, and other related offenses. The District Attorney of Bucks County, Jen Schorn, highlighted the extradition as a pivotal example of the commitment to justice for victims of child abuse. She emphasized the resolution as a strong message to individuals who believe they can escape accountability by fleeing across borders: they will be pursued and held responsible for their actions.

The investigation into Yanes’ activities began in February 2024, when authorities were alerted to his alleged crimes. One of the three victims reported to police that Yanes had raped her multiple times at a residence on Tollhouse Road in Warminster. According to court documents, these assaults reportedly started when she was just five years old and continued for six years.

In a detailed account, another victim disclosed that Yanes had groped her at various locations, including a park in Doylestown, as well as at the same Warminster home. She indicated that the abuse began when she was four years old and lasted for two years. A third victim recounted that Yanes had sexually assaulted her at the age of eight, while they were swimming together at a home in Warminster Township, where he allegedly groped her inappropriately.

After authorities charged Yanes in February 2024, he fled the United States, complicating ongoing investigations. His return came as a result of a collaborative effort between local Bucks County prosecutors and the U.S. Department of Justice, following a tip about his location in El Salvador.

Upon his return, Yanes was arraigned in district court in Warminster and remains in custody, with bail set at 10% of 0,000. There is currently no indication that he has retained legal representation. The case serves as a reminder of the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to ensure that individuals who commit heinous crimes, especially against the vulnerable, are brought to justice, regardless of where they may attempt to hide.
