Police release images of suspects in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 16-year-old in Queens.
On Saturday, authorities released surveillance images of two suspects in the fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old boy in Woodhaven, Queens. The victim, identified as Josue Argudo, was reportedly attacked while returning home from school at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Friday. This violent incident unfolded near the intersection of Jamaica Avenue and 76th Street, just three blocks from Argudo’s residence.
Witnesses stated that a group of teenagers confronted Argudo, leading to a pursuit during which he attempted to escape. Unfortunately, one of his masked assailants allegedly caught up with him and stabbed him in the neck. Eyewitness Patricia Ammirati described the chaotic scene, noting that the attacker was punching Argudo while wielding an unknown object. The assailants, dressed in masks, effectively concealed their identities.
Following the attack, Argudo, despite bleeding profusely, tried to distance himself from his aggressors but ultimately collapsed on the sidewalk. Observers reported that he slumped over and appeared lifeless as bystanders began administering CPR. Emergency Medical Services transported him to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Surveillance footage captured by local sources depicted one of the attackers pursuing Argudo, striking him multiple times in the process. The footage shows the assailant, donned in black attire and a mask, departing the scene with another individual. A backpack was later found abandoned at the site, further implicating the culprits in this tragic sequence of events.
As investigations continue, police have described one suspect as a Black male wearing all black clothing along with white Beats headphones. The second suspect is described as having light skin, possibly Hispanic, and was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, and white sneakers while carrying a black cross-body bag.
