The recent shooting incident involving rapper Offset is under federal investigation by the FBI, as updated information emerges from the Miami division of the agency. The shooting occurred on April 6, 2026, at approximately 7:24 PM, near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was transported to a local hospital, where a representative later confirmed that he was in stable condition and being closely monitored.

Controversy surrounding the incident also involved fellow rapper Lil Tjay, who has denied any involvement in the shooting but was taken into custody on the night of the incident for disorderly conduct related to a preceding altercation. An attorney representing Lil Tjay has stated that he has not been charged in connection with the shooting itself. Lil Tjay was released from Broward County Jail on a 0 bond and subsequently denied shooting Offset, labeling him a “rat.” The exchange between the two rappers also involved Offset publicly responding to criticisms from Lil Tjay, showcasing the ongoing tension between the artists.
