During the week of May 28 to June 4, various establishments in Orange County faced temporary closures due to health violations, according to inspections conducted by local health authorities. A number of restaurants and food vendors were affected, leading to immediate actions aimed at ensuring public safety.

The Breakfast Buffet located at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Anaheim was closed on June 3 due to a cockroach infestation. After addressing the issue, the establishment reopened on June 4. Similarly, Caffe Gazelle in Huntington Beach faced the same predicament, with closure for the same reason and reopening shortly after.

In Buena Park, La Huasteca at The Source experienced closure on June 2 due to a rodent infestation. The restaurant managed to resolve the problem and reopened the same day. Also on June 2, International Pastry at Wholesome Choice in Irvine was shut down for engaging in unapproved construction and remodeling activities. As of the latest report, there has been no confirmation of resumption of operations for this establishment.

Loi’s Kitchen in Garden Grove was another entity that faced a temporary shutdown. It was closed on June 2 because of insufficient hot water, a critical requirement for food safety. The restaurant was able to rectify the situation and reopened the following day, June 3.

Another notable closure occurred at Stanton Party Supply, which provides food sales. This establishment was closed on June 1 due to a cockroach infestation and reopened on June 4 after the issue was addressed. Phat Ky Mi Gia in Garden Grove also experienced a brief closure on May 28 for the same reason but managed to reopen quickly on May 29.

These closures highlight the ongoing efforts of the Orange County Health Care Agency to maintain health and safety standards in local food establishments. The agency publishes a weekly list of closures alongside updates on the status of previously shut down locations, ensuring transparency in the food service industry.
