Man dies after being punched in Brooklyn during altercation over disrespect towards his wife.

According to authorities and grieving family members, Karakatal succumbed to injuries after being attacked by a stranger during a dispute sparked by disrespectful remarks made to his wife.

The altercation occurred around 8:20 PM near the intersection of Pitkin and Van Siclen Avenues. Karakatal had just returned from work when he confronted the assailant, who had verbally abused his wife while she was walking their dog. Relatives reported that Karakatal intervened, expressing his disapproval of the stranger’s behavior, which led to a physical confrontation. Witnesses relayed that the unprovoked attack escalated quickly, with Karakatal being punched in the face, causing him to fall backward onto the concrete.

Witnesses reported the chilling scene as Karakatal was seen struggling for his life on the sidewalk. Emergency responders transported him to Brookdale University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
