Izakaya Osen chef to launch two new Japanese restaurants at OCVibe.

With the opening scheduled for 2027, these venues—Osen Urban Table and Osen Handroll—are anticipated to enhance the dining landscape in the area.

Osen Urban Table is envisioned as a full-service restaurant, located within the Urban Plaza of the evolving district. This establishment aims to offer a more relaxed interpretation of Cho’s flagship izakaya, featuring both lunch and dinner service. In contrast, Osen Handroll will be situated in Katella Commons, a two-story market hall spanning approximately 50,000 square feet. In addition to Osen’s contributions, Katella Commons will host various dining spots like Don Churros Gomez, MFK | Modern Filipino Kitchen, and Roy Choi’s Best Friend, among others. As part of the larger 100-acre project, the district will begin welcoming visitors in March 2027, with a concert hall designed to accommodate 5,000 attendees, alongside additional attractions such as parks and public art installations.
