Former Disney star Skai Jackson has filed a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, Deondre Burgin, alleging a pattern of domestic violence over the past year. The restraining order was submitted on Monday, detailing various incidents that have raised significant concerns about her safety and that of her child.

Jackson, 23, claims that the most recent incident took place on Mother’s Day when Burgin allegedly punched her in the face, pulled her hair, and forcefully slammed her head against a car while she was holding their newborn son, Kasai. The court documents describe a history of distressing encounters, including incidents where Burgin purportedly choked her, scratched her, and slammed her head into walls. Particularly alarming is Jackson’s assertion that during her pregnancy, Burgin threatened her with a gun, held a knife to her, and suggested she ingest bleach in a bid to terminate the pregnancy.

In addition to her verbal testimony, Jackson has stated that she possesses video evidence corroborating some of her allegations. Raising further concern, she reported that Burgin owns three firearms, leading her to fear for her safety and that of her son. Following her request, a temporary restraining order was granted, with a court hearing set for June 9 in Los Angeles.

This development comes approximately nine months after Jackson was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery after an altercation with Burgin at Universal Studios. However, the Los Angeles County district attorney opted not to file charges against her. At that time, it was reported that Jackson and Burgin were engaged and expecting a child.

Burgin himself was previously embroiled in legal troubles, having been arrested last month due to an outstanding warrant. When their son was born in January, he was serving a 90-day sentence for parole violation related to a previous case involving theft and weapon possession in Ohio.

Skai Jackson rose to prominence through her roles in Disney Channel productions, including the popular sitcom “Jessie” and its spinoff, “Bunk’d.” She further showcased her talents by participating in season 29 of “Dancing With the Stars,” where she secured a fifth-place finish.
