Gotti grandsons arrested for assaulting alleged mob associate in Queens.

Two grandsons of the late Gambino crime boss John Gotti were apprehended and charged with assault following an altercation with a former family associate. The brothers, Frankie Gotti, 27, and John Gotti, 31, are the sons of Peter Gotti, who was the youngest son of the notorious mob leader. Their arrest stems from an incident involving Gino Gabrielli, an individual accused of burglarizing a residence linked to one of the brothers and allegedly stealing ,300.

Authorities report that Gabrielli, who is also suspected of having ties to organized crime, was taken into custody on Sunday. He faces charges of burglary, grand larceny, and criminal possession of stolen property in relation to the break-in. In an aggressive move following Gabrielli’s arrest, the Gotti brothers located him at his mother’s residence in Howard Beach, where they allegedly assaulted him in front of his mother.

The Gotti brothers were arraigned on Tuesday evening before Judge Sharifa Nasser-Cullar in Queens Criminal Court. They were released on their own recognizance, with no bail required, and are scheduled to appear in court again on August 7. During their departure from the courthouse, no comments were made by the defendants.

Gino Gabrielli’s history includes a notable incident from 2015, when he inadvertently set himself ablaze while attempting to set fire to a Mercedes-Benz belonging to a Queens businessman. This act was motivated by a failed effort to extract annual kickbacks from the businessman, who had ceased his payments to a mob captain involved in extortion. Gabrielli was captured on home security footage, seen igniting the vehicle before fleeing with his pants aflame. He ultimately pleaded guilty to charges of arson in August 2016.

Additionally, John Gotti, the grandson, has his own criminal history. In 2017, he was sentenced to eight years in prison after pleading guilty to selling oxycodone in New York City. At that time, his attorney noted the complexities surrounding Gotti’s surname, suggesting it served both as a burden and an advantage, highlighting the support of his family throughout his legal troubles.

As the legal proceedings continue, the Gotti family remains firmly in the public spotlight, perpetuating the legacy of one of America’s most infamous crime syndicates. Media News Source will continue to monitor developments in this case and the involvement of notable figures associated with organized crime.
