Four men injured in shooting incident in the Bronx.

In a disturbing incident in the Bronx on Tuesday night, four individuals were shot, prompting emergency responders to activate a rapid response. The series of events began around 9:50 p.m. when police were dispatched to the intersection of East 187th Street and Park Avenue in the Morningside Heights neighborhood, following a report of a 17-year-old boy who had sustained a gunshot wound to his right shoulder.

Emergency Medical Services transported the injured teenager to St. Barnabas Hospital for urgent medical attention. Concurrently, a 21-year-old man arrived at the same hospital with a gunshot wound to his right thigh. According to law enforcement officials, this individual had also been shot in the same vicinity but opted to use a private vehicle for transportation rather than wait for emergency services.

The initial investigation focused on this double shooting; however, the situation escalated as police received additional calls over the next two hours, ultimately leading to the revelation that there had been four victims in total. Officers returned to the same area where the 17-year-old was found after receiving a new report about two additional gunshot victims.

Upon their arrival at a nearby building on Park Avenue, close to East 186th Street, they discovered a 22-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and a 24-year-old man who had been shot in the back. Both individuals were promptly taken to St. Barnabas Hospital for medical care.

Fortunately, law enforcement officials reported that none of the victims’ injuries were life-threatening. In the wake of the shooting, investigators began analyzing surveillance footage in the area to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident and to locate the shooting’s point of origin.

As of now, authorities have not disclosed a specific motive for the violence, and no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. Police are urging anyone with pertinent information to contact NYPD CrimeStoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
