Dylan Dreyer, co-anchor of ‘Today,’ has announced her split from husband and cameraman, Brian Fichera.
Dylan Dreyer, a co-anchor on the “Today” show, announced her separation from Brian Fichera, her husband of over a decade, during an Instagram post on Friday. The 43-year-old meteorologist shared that the decision to part ways came a few months prior and emphasized their continued friendship and commitment to co-parenting their three sons.
Dreyer, who hails from New Jersey, made the announcement publicly while expressing her gratitude for the support she has received from her audience throughout her journey. She noted that their lives had been shared with fans, encompassing both celebratory moments and challenges. In her statement, Dreyer confirmed that both she and Fichera remain committed to being close friends despite their separation. The couple, who married in October 2012, has three children together: Calvin, 8, Oliver, 5, and Rusty, 3. Dreyer affirmed their dedication to co-parenting with mutual respect and affection.
Media News Source reported that Dreyer’s separation was subtly indicated in recent appearances on the “Today” show, where she was noted to be without her wedding ring. The announcement followed a different social media update in which Dreyer discussed her balancing act as a working mother, showcasing her three children but notably omitting references to Fichera.
In a June 15 social media post, she had paid tribute to Fichera for Father’s Day, sharing a playful moment with the kids which emphasized their continued familial connections. Her affectionate message for Father’s Day highlighted a family outing, jokingly stating that they enjoyed a Red Sox game at home and extending warm wishes to Fichera.
Fichera, who works as a freelance producer and cameraman for NBC, has remained largely inactive on social media since January, when he posted a video featuring two of their children enjoying a unique winter beach day.
As both Dreyer and Fichera navigate this new chapter in their lives, they appear committed to maintaining a positive and cooperative relationship for the sake of their children.
