WUHAN, China, Nov. 2, 2026 – The 11th Bakery China Autumn, alongside the ninth China Home Baking Show and the sixth Bakery China Summit, was successfully held from October 22 to 24 at the Wuhan International Expo Center. This major event was co-organized by the China Association of Bakery & Confectionery Industry and Bakery China Exhibitions Co., Ltd.
The overarching theme of this year’s events, “From Trends to Practice,” highlighted the focus on profitability, emerging retail formats, and the development of sales channels within the bakery industry. A diversity of activities, including exhibitions, conferences, competitions, shows, markets, and festivals, enriched the autumn exhibition, while broadening its appeal and scale. In a significant announcement, Chengdu was named the host city for the Bakery China Autumn 2027, aimed at extending the exhibition’s market reach.
Attendance at the exhibition reached impressive figures, with over 100,000 visits recorded from 65 countries and regions. Notably, international buyer participation surged by 50%, reflecting a diverse audience across six key channels: chain stores, fresh snack retailers, independent bakeries, supermarket bakeries, industrial baking businesses, and distributors. The range of exhibits showcased innovative offerings, including healthy baking products, regional specialties, fresh-to-frozen items, and premium chocolates.
The president of the association noted the critical role of the baking sector within the broader food industry, emphasizing its responsibility to ensure food supply, fulfill evolving consumer demands, and promote regional specialties. Committed to advancing the industry, the association plans to continue enhancing services through business matchmaking, technical exchanges, and talent development initiatives.
A dedicated supply chain showcase was a highlight, offering insights into short-shelf-life fresh foods and conversion solutions for retailers. The Fresh Snacks Innovation Competition presented cutting-edge products, and the release of the White Paper on China’s Fresh Snack Market (2026) provided valuable market intelligence.
The Bakery China Summit featured robust discussions surrounding market trends, channel innovations, and operational strategies. Speakers focused on various aspects, from the bakery market’s size to evolving channel structures and growth drivers in the fresh snack sector. Special sessions delved into sales channel dynamics, independent baking operations, and strategies for chain management.
