Belarus and Russia Hold Joint Military Exercises Amid Rising Tensions with NATO

Russia has recently conducted joint military exercises with Belarusian forces, set against a backdrop of increased tension with NATO nations. The drills, featuring approximately 7,000 troops—6,000 of whom are Belarusian—were characterized by Russian officials as defensive maneuvers designed to simulate responses to potential invasions. This transparency serves to underline Minsk’s assertion of peaceful intentions.
