Law enforcement, in collaboration with the Justice Ministry, conducted raids not only in Rio de Janeiro but also extended to neighboring states, including São Paulo, Rio Grande do Sul, and Mato Grosso.
Felipe Cury, the secretary of the Rio Police, emphasized that the attackers had expressed intentions to target Brazil’s LGBTQ community, as they overtly acknowledged motivations rooted in sexual orientation. Rio Police Chief Luiz Lima further revealed that the group disseminated harmful hate speech and violent content online to draw attention, primarily among youth, including teenagers and children.
