Brooklyn woman admits to fatally stabbing boyfriend after years of domestic abuse.

A Brooklyn woman has been charged with manslaughter following a fatal stabbing incident that occurred during an altercation with her boyfriend in her Flatbush apartment. Jennifer Ayala, 36, is accused of fatally stabbing Pedersin Pelissier, also 36, twice in the chest in the early hours of Saturday morning. Law enforcement sources indicate that the stabbing took place around 6:50 a.m. at Ayala’s residence on Linden Boulevard, near New York Avenue.

According to police reports, Ayala claimed in custody that she acted out of desperation after enduring three years of domestic violence. She described Pelissier as the aggressor in seven previous incidents that involved police intervention, although it remains unclear whether he was ever arrested in connection with those cases.

After the incident, authorities learned that Ayala asserted she felt she had no other option to protect herself, stating that the police had been ineffective in assisting her. Following the stabbing, she allegedly grabbed a knife in an attempt to defend herself from Pelissier, who she claimed continued to physically assault her.

Ayala was arraigned in Brooklyn Criminal Court on charges of manslaughter and possession of a weapon. A judge set her bail at ,000. Her lawyer, Anthony Zucco from the Legal Aid Society, has not made any public comments regarding the case.

Pelissier, a resident of Fort Greene, had two ongoing criminal cases at the time of his death. He faced charges related to an alleged assault on July 4, where he was accused of attacking a person over the age of 65. Additionally, he was involved in a separate ongoing case stemming from his arrest on December 16, for using a firearm in a robbery.
