Bucks man faces attempted murder charges following road-rage shooting incident, according to police.

A Warrington man has been charged with attempted murder and multiple related offenses following a shocking road rage incident that occurred in Middletown Township. Authorities report that 41-year-old Christopher Corbi fired a weapon at a woman during a confrontation on Monday evening, raising serious concerns about public safety in the area.

In addition to the attempted murder charge, Corbi faces charges of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment due to the violent nature of the incident. As of Tuesday, Corbi remains in custody, with bail set at 10% of million, according to court documents. His attorney, Paul Mallis, has not yet commented publicly on the matter.

The troubling events began around 6 p.m. when the victim was driving on the Newtown Bypass. The woman reported that she, along with several other vehicles, passed Corbi’s Honda Civic, which was moving at a slower pace in the right lane. As she maneuvered around his car, she noticed what appeared to be a flash and subsequently discovered a bullet hole in her windshield. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, the woman attempted to allow Corbi to pass so she could document his license plate and contact emergency services.

Following the initial encounter, the woman continued to trail Corbi while on the line with a 911 dispatcher. The situation escalated when Corbi abruptly entered the Swan Point development on Swift Road, slammed on his brakes, exited his vehicle, and approached her car. It was at this point that he allegedly discharged multiple rounds into her vehicle, with one bullet striking the woman in the wrist before he fled the scene.

Shortly after the incident, law enforcement apprehended Corbi. During questioning, he claimed that the woman had been following him, prompting his violent reaction. Police later discovered that he had disposed of the firearm used in the shooting in a trash can at a nearby PetSmart store. Investigators were able to recover both the gun and a box of ammunition that Corbi had discarded.

This incident highlights the increasingly concerning nature of road rage-related violence, drawing attention to the need for effective measures to combat such aggressive behaviors on the road. As investigations continue, the community remains vigilant, hoping for swift justice for the victim and accountability for Corbi’s actions.
