D4vd cancels U.S. tour due to investigation involving Celeste Rivas.

D4vd, the 20-year-old musician known for his hit song “Romantic Homicide,” has made the decision to suspend his U.S. tour due to an ongoing investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department concerning the tragic death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas. The investigation gained significant attention following the discovery of Rivas’s decomposed body in a bag inside D4vd’s impounded Tesla last week, raising serious concerns in the music community and beyond.

Insider sources have informed Media News Source that the singer, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, will no longer perform at his remaining U.S. concerts, which were scheduled for September 22 at The Warfield in San Francisco and September 23 at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. Although these performances were still listed on various platforms at the time of publication, it remains uncertain if any changes will occur regarding the upcoming European leg of the tour, slated from October 1 through November 4. Additionally, four performances in Australia are set for early December.

In a related development, major record labels have taken steps to distance themselves from the situation. Universal Music Group’s Interscope Records, along with Sony Music Publishing and the talent agency Wasserman, have reportedly ceased all promotional activities involving D4vd, a decision made out of respect for the ongoing investigation.

Rivas, who was reported missing in April 2024 from her family home in Lake Elsinore, California, had recently been identified as the minor whose remains were found. At the time of her disappearance, she was only 13 years old. Her mother has since revealed to the media that Rivas had a boyfriend named David. Notably, both Rivas and D4vd are said to have matching tattoos reading “Shhh…” on their right index fingers.

Authorities conducted an extensive search of a Los Angeles residence linked to D4vd, which was under the lease of his manager, Josh Marshall. The police spent approximately 12 hours scouring the premises for potential evidence, focusing on finding blood traces. Items seized during the search included a computer and hair samples, as investigators continue to delve deeper into the case.

As the investigation unfolds, both D4vd’s musical career and public image hang in the balance amid mounting scrutiny. The circumstances surrounding this tragic event continue to generate significant public interest, underscoring the intricate relationship between celebrity culture and criminal investigations.
