Dallas man charged with stabbing a woman and storing her body in a freezer at an Oak Cliff residence.

A 51-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the death of 27-year-old Mariah Murray, whose body was discovered inside a freezer in a residence on Georgia Avenue in Dallas. The arrest of Kendrick Brown took place on June 18, following a police investigation that uncovered critical witness testimonies regarding the circumstances surrounding Murray’s death, which occurred on May 10, 2026.

The Dallas Police Department received a 911 call on the fateful day, alerting them to a body found in a freezer at a home located in the 1400 block of Georgia Avenue. Upon investigating, officers located Brown in a bedroom of the house, initially detaining him for outstanding warrants. While searching the property, authorities encountered significant evidence, including the discovery of a white freezer containing Murray’s lifeless form, along with bloodstains throughout the nearby room. A large KA Bar military-style knife was also recovered from behind the drywall in the living room.

The Dallas County medical examiner later transported the freezer for further examination. Due to the state of the body, it was noted that an autopsy could not be performed until Murray’s body thawed. The initial review revealed she had been stabbed multiple times.
