Disneyland to Reintroduce Classic Entertainment Offerings in 2027
Disneyland Resort has announced an upcoming nostalgic tribute to its classic entertainment lineup, with plans to revive a series of beloved shows and parades that have charmed audiences over the years. Scheduled for 2027, the return of these iconic attractions aims to reach both longtime fans and new guests.
During a special event hosted by Neil Patrick Harris at the Horizons: A Carousel of Progress showcase at Honda Center on August 15, 2026, Disneyland Resort President Jill Estorino revealed the details of this enchanting revival. The lineup is set to include three significant pieces of entertainment: the “Remember… Dreams Come True” fireworks and projection show at Disneyland, the original “World of Color” nighttime spectacular from Disney California Adventure, and the “Magic Happens” parade at Disneyland.
The “Remember… Dreams Come True” fireworks display, which has captivated audiences during its initial runs from 2005 to 2014 and again from 2017 to 2019, promises to rekindle the magic for returning guests. This show is renowned for its vibrant visuals and emotional storytelling, making it a fan favorite. The original “World of Color,” which debuted in 2010, enchants spectators with a stunning water and light display featuring scenes from a wide array of Disney and Pixar animated films, including classics like “The Little Mermaid,” “Finding Nemo,” and “Toy Story.” Its mesmerizing choreography in Paradise Bay has kept audiences returning for more.
The “Magic Happens” parade made its debut in February 2020, shortly before the pandemic led to a temporary closure of the parks. The parade features delightful characters and imaginative floats, bringing to life iconic narratives that resonate with guests of all ages. Last operated in 2024, this parade is expected to see a warm welcome back from visitors eager to experience its whimsical charm once again.
