A Texas father successfully rescued his 15-year-old daughter from a kidnapping incident that occurred on Christmas Day while she was walking her dog. Utilizing parental controls on her cell phone, the father was able to track her location and intervene before the situation escalated further. Authorities have identified the suspect as Giovanni Rosales Espinoza, a 23-year-old man, who has since been charged with aggravated kidnapping and indecency with a child.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies responded quickly to a kidnapping call around 4:50 p.m. on Thursday in Porter, a suburb located approximately 30 miles north of Houston. The father’s alertness prompted him to check the daughter’s phone when she failed to return home at the expected time. The pinpointed location led him to a secluded area nearly two miles away in Harris County, where he discovered his daughter and her dog inside a maroon pickup truck.

According to law enforcement officials, Rosales Espinoza allegedly threatened the girl with a knife before abducting her from the street. Witnesses provided detailed descriptions of both the vehicle and the suspect, aiding in the investigation. After locating his daughter, the father was able to facilitate her escape from the truck and immediately contacted the police.

Rosales Espinoza is currently being held without bond at the Montgomery County Jail as investigations continue.
