FBI offers ,000 reward for information on protester who allegedly shot at ICE agents.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has announced a reward of up to ,000 for information leading to the identification of an individual involved in an incident during a recent raid by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in Southern California. This altercation occurred amid rising tensions between federal officers and local demonstrators opposing the operation at a cannabis farm in Camarillo.

The events unfolded on a Thursday when federal agents executed a search warrant at a large cannabis facility. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reported that the raid was met with significant resistance, as local activists attempted to hinder access to the site. Video footage from local media depicts agents deploying crowd control tactics, including tear gas, as disagreements escalated.

U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California, Bill Essayli, shared a video clip via social media that reportedly captured the unknown individual discharging a firearm at federal law enforcement officers near the scene of the raid. This incident reportedly took place around 2:26 PM along Laguna Road, between Wood Road and Las Posas Road.

The Camarillo raid was part of a coordinated effort that included similar operations at facilities owned by Glass House Farms, specifically another site located approximately 35 miles away in Carpinteria. These recent enforcement actions have become a focal point of political debate, reflecting the increasing complexities surrounding immigration enforcement and cannabis regulation within California.

DHS representative Tricia McLaughlin confirmed that agents were conducting criminal searches at the time of the incident. The operation led to the discovery of ten undocumented minors at one of the facilities, with eight of them being unaccompanied, according to Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Rodney Scott.

In a statement, Glass House Farms acknowledged the raids, asserting their cooperation with ICE officials during the course of the operation. The company emphasized its compliance with federal search warrants and indicated that it would provide further updates as necessary.

As the situation develops, the intersection of immigration policy, law enforcement tactics, and the burgeoning cannabis industry continues to spark significant public debate and concern across communities in California and beyond.
