Former Astronomer HR Executive Files for Divorce Following Coldplay “Kiss Cam” Incident.

Kristin Cabot, the former head of human resources at Astronomer, filed for divorce on August 13, 2025, in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, as revealed by court documents. This legal decision follows her resignation from the company just a month prior, amid a public scandal that captured widespread media attention.

The controversy arose when Cabot was prominently featured in a viral video during a Coldplay concert in Boston, where she was seen in close proximity to Andy Byron, the CEO of Astronomer. The pair appeared on the concert’s kiss cam, leading to an awkward public display that was met with both surprise and humor by the crowd, including Coldplay’s frontman, Chris Martin. Martin humorously referred to their situation, suggesting they might be “either having an affair or just very shy.” This incident escalated quickly on social media, generating a considerable amount of speculation regarding the nature of their relationship.

In the wake of the concert incident, Byron also resigned from his position as CEO of Astronomer. The company officially announced that the Board of Directors had accepted his resignation and stated they would begin searching for a successor. Until a new CEO is appointed, Pete DeJoy, a co-founder and chief product officer, will serve as the interim CEO.

While Cabot’s divorce filing is a significant personal development, the implications for Byron remain unclear as there has been no official confirmation of divorce from his spouse, Megan Byron, although she has taken steps to distance herself from their shared public identity by removing “Byron” from her social media profiles.

Neither Cabot nor Byron has commented publicly on the developments surrounding their resignations or personal lives since the viral incident. In response to the backlash regarding the kiss cam episode, Chris Martin defended the band’s tradition of engaging with the audience through jumbotron displays during performances. He acknowledged that while such interactions can sometimes lead to “massive scandals,” the intention is primarily to connect with attendees.

As the fallout from this incident continues to unfold, the responses from both former executives and their respective families have remained largely silent, leaving the public to speculate on the implications for their personal and professional relationships moving forward.
