Four individuals face charges after a cocaine-filled arrow was shot at a jail window but missed its target.

In a peculiar incident in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, four individuals have been charged in connection with an attempted drug smuggling scheme that involved a crossbow. The scheme came to light when a cocaine-infused arrow, shot towards Fayette County Jail, failed to reach its intended target. Instead, the arrow ricocheted off a wall and landed in the grass outside the facility, where it remained unnoticed for four days until jail staff discovered it during a routine security check.

Authorities reported that jail personnel uncovered the arrow beneath a recreation yard window on June 6. Subsequently, investigators conducted a thorough examination of surveillance footage, revealing that the arrow was fired around 8 p.m. on June 2. Inside the arrow shaft, investigators found a significant quantity of cocaine, cleverly concealed within the fingers of rubber gloves. Fayette County District Attorney Mike Aubele confirmed the findings, which allowed police to piece together the conspiracy involving two inmates and two outside accomplices.

The two incarcerated individuals, 38-year-old Alfonso Pugh and 41-year-old Charles Smith, now face additional charges including felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of contraband.
