Gina McManama has been recognized as the Classified Employee of the Year for 2025 by officials from Ramona Unified School District, highlighting her exemplary versatility, collaborative nature, and adept problem-solving skills. A computer technician I, McManama has made significant contributions to the district’s Technology Services Department, where she engages in critical work such as the repair and maintenance of Chromebooks and the management of hardware and software for both teachers and staff.
In her current role, McManama addresses work orders at various schools, including James Dukes, Ramona, and Barnett elementary schools. Over her more than five years of service with Ramona Unified, she has also provided IT support at several other locations, including Hanson Elementary School, Ramona Community Campus, Montecito High School, and the district office. This extensive experience showcases her commitment to the educational community.

She oversees a team of four technicians, a supervisor, two data staff, and a manager, collectively ensuring the reliability of technology within schools, which is vital for delivering quality education in an increasingly digital environment.
Recently, she received a ,000 award from the school district, part of which she chose to donate to Ramona American Jiu Jitsu, a local nonprofit where she has been taking lessons since its opening in October. Her philanthropic contribution aims to empower children in the Ramona community, reiterating her commitment to fostering positive development among local youth.
