During this confrontation, Celpa reportedly threatened Jimenez, stating that he could not sell drugs in that area and ominously indicated that “today is your day.”
Prosecutors have highlighted that surveillance footage captured the tension escalating as the teenager provocatively lifted his shirt to display a firearm hidden in his waistband. This act appeared to incite further conflict, with the teenager allegedly verbalizing threats against Jimenez’s life.
Subsequent video evidence indicates that after a brief pursuit to a nearby building within the Manhattanville Houses complex, another altercation ensued.
