Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith finalize their divorce following 18 months of negotiations.

Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith have finalized their divorce settlement after a protracted legal battle that lasted over 18 months. The actress, known for her role in “Queen & Slim,” originally filed for divorce in early 2023, and the recent legal documents obtained by Media News Source confirm that a resolution has finally been reached.

The former couple, who met during Jackson’s birthday celebration in 2018 and married the following year, have agreed upon a financial arrangement. Jackson, 46, will provide ,787 per month in child support for their five-year-old daughter, Juno, while no spousal support will be awarded to Turner-Smith, 38.

While they have established a temporary joint custody schedule, a point of contention remains regarding their daughter’s education. Turner-Smith has expressed her desire to choose the school Juno will attend, advocating for a location that is convenient for Jackson. However, there is currently no agreement on this matter, and Jackson has reportedly declined to endorse her preferred choice. In addition, Turner-Smith has requested that Jackson cover ,000 in attorney fees related to this educational dispute.

The divorce process has seen its share of challenges. In late 2022, Turner-Smith accused Jackson of falling behind in child and spousal support payments, claiming he owed over ,000 in monthly child support and nearly ,000 in spousal support, which had accumulated since she filed for divorce. This financial strain led her to seek 0,000 from Jackson to cover legal expenses, including fees for a forensic accountant to investigate potential financial discrepancies.

Turner-Smith noted that Jackson had previously assured her of financial security for their daughter in the event of a separation, highlighting the difficulties she may face as a Black woman and single mother.

The couple’s marriage was private, with wedding details only surfacing later. They did not execute a prenuptial agreement prior to their union. The divorce filing, conducted by prominent attorney Laura Wasser, cited irreconcilable differences as the basis for their separation. A custody agreement was established in November 2023, marking a new chapter for both parents as they navigate their co-parenting responsibilities moving forward.
