A California man has been sentenced to ten months in federal prison following an incident in which he threw pieces of cinder block at Border Patrol agents during an anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) protest. The incident, which occurred on June 7, 2025, near a U.S. Homeland Security Investigations facility in Paramount, resulted in one agent sustaining injuries.
Jacob Daniel Terrazzas, 31, pleaded guilty in January to a misdemeanor charge of simple assault on a federal officer. As part of a plea agreement, prosecutors agreed to drop a more serious felony charge of assault on a federal officer. During the legal proceedings, Terrazzas was required to submit a handwritten apology letter to the injured Border Patrol agent, who sustained a bleeding injury to his left shin due to the thrown object.
