Weinstein’s defense team, led by attorney Arthur Aidala, has characterized Haley, along with two other accusers, as individuals seeking financial gain, suggesting they have “four million reasons” to fabricate their claims against the former Hollywood executive. As part of this strategy, defense attorney Jennifer Bonjean focused on Haley’s choice to retain civil rights lawyer Gloria Allred shortly after allegations against Weinstein gained national attention in 2017, questioning her motives.
