Murder suspect from South Jersey captured in Villanova parking garage.

A 26-year-old man has been apprehended in connection with the alleged murder of his grandfather in South Jersey. The U.S. Marshals Service reported that Shawn A. Moir was arrested Wednesday afternoon in a parking garage located at Villanova University.

Moir is accused of fatally stabbing his grandfather, 59-year-old Albert Moir, with a kitchen knife late Tuesday night. The incident occurred at their residence on the 3000 block of Diamond Drive in Vineland. Following the alleged stabbing, authorities say Moir fled the scene in his grandfather’s 2009 black Chevrolet Tahoe.

The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Philadelphia tracked the Tahoe to a parking garage at Villanova around 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Surveillance of the vehicle led to Moir being discovered inside it, where he was taken into custody without any complications. He was subsequently transported to the Radnor Township Police Department for processing.
