In a tragic turn of events, Robin Kaye, a notable music supervisor for the well-known television show “American Idol,” and her husband, Thomas Deluca, have been identified as the victims of a disturbing double homicide at their residence in Encino, Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that authorities were called for a welfare check on Monday, July 15, 2025, around 2:30 PM, and upon arrival discovered the bodies of both individuals, each suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The inquiry into their deaths led law enforcement to identify Raymond Boodarian, a 22-year-old resident of Reseda, as the primary suspect in the case. Boodarian was apprehended on Tuesday afternoon and is believed to have committed the crime during an alleged burglary last Thursday, when Kaye and Deluca returned home unexpectedly. Reports suggest that he shot the couple in what appears to have been a violent altercation following their entry into the house.
Utilizing surveillance footage and forensic evidence collected from the scene, investigators were able to connect Boodarian to the murders. Authorities have stated that there is no evidence to indicate a prior relationship between him and the victims.
