Music supervisor’s home targeted by burglars weeks before fatal incident.

In a tragic development in Southern California, Robin Kaye, a music supervisor known for her work on “American Idol,” and her husband, musician Thomas Deluca, were killed during a burglary at their multimillion-dollar residence in Encino. Law enforcement authorities are investigating whether this incident is connected to a prior burglary at the couple’s home that was reported over a month earlier.

According to reports from the Los Angeles Police Department, the couple was fatally shot last Thursday when they returned home in the midst of a theft. The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community and the entertainment industry. The couple’s pool cleaner, Mauro Quintero, remarked that the home had been previously targeted by burglars but was left untouched after Deluca was awakened by their barking dogs.

Authorities have confirmed that during a welfare check on July 10, police found a deceased male and female with multiple gunshot wounds within the residence. While the specifics surrounding the connection of past incidents to the homicides are still under investigation, the LAPD confirmed that no immediate link has been established between the suspect and the victims.

Raymond Boodarian, a 22-year-old man with a prior criminal record, was arrested the following Tuesday in relation to the killings. Investigative reports indicate that security footage shows Boodarian entering the home approximately half an hour before Kaye and Deluca returned. The couple was confronted after entering their residence, leading to the fatal interaction.

On previous occasions, law enforcement had responded to the home for reports of an armed intruder, but a thorough search yielded no signs of a burglary. Officers were reportedly hindered in their attempt to access the property.

Details regarding whether any property was stolen remain ambiguous, with authorities indicating that the residence was not ransacked. The incident has raised concerns about home security and safety in upscale neighborhoods throughout the region.

As the investigation unfolds, the community continues to express its sadness and disbelief over the violent event that took the lives of two prominent figures from the local music scene. The LAPD remains committed to uncovering the full circumstances surrounding the tragedy and ensuring justice for Kaye and Deluca.
