New Jersey man found guilty of murder in triple shooting at home studio.
A 25-year-old man from South Jersey has been convicted of murder following a triple shooting that took place at a basement recording studio in Bridgeton. The conviction was announced on Monday by the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office, confirming that Tyzir Hall was found guilty of the murder of Shaheed Little, which occurred on February 8, 2021.
In addition to the murder charge, Hall was also convicted of attempted murder for his actions in injuring a second victim, identified as John Beverly. However, he was acquitted of attempted murder concerning a third individual, Shanetris Anderson, who was also wounded during the incident at the residence. The events unfolded when Little, then 31 years old, picked up Hall from his home in Clementon and drove him to his Bridgeton home, where they were scheduled to record music in the basement. Beverly and Anderson, residents of the home, were also present.
As the session commenced, Hall reportedly produced a firearm and fatally shot Little, subsequently injuring Beverly in the process. After the shooting, Hall fled the scene in Little’s vehicle. Law enforcement agencies launched an extensive search for Hall, during which he managed to evade capture for eight months. He was finally apprehended by a task force from the U.S. Marshals in Philadelphia in October 2021, approximately 35 miles north of the location of the crime.
Hall’s forthcoming sentencing hearing, scheduled for July 18, could result in a harsh penalty. He faces a potential maximum sentence of 30 years to life in prison for the murder of Shaheed Little and an additional 10 to 20 years for the attempted murder of John Beverly. The case underscores ongoing concerns about violence in urban areas and the need for effective interventions to prevent further criminal activity. Community and law enforcement officials continue to explore strategies to address such incidents and enhance public safety.
The outcome of this case not only highlights the tragic consequences of gun violence but also serves as a reminder of the judicial system’s role in responding to serious crimes. As the court proceedings advance, both victims’ families and the community await the final sentencing to ensure that justice is served.
