New Orleans inmate on the run releases video seeking assistance from Trump.

In the aftermath of a significant prison break in Louisiana last month, one of the remaining fugitives has made a public appeal for assistance, targeting former President Donald Trump and several celebrities. The individual, identified as Antoine Massey, has been on the run since May 16 when he allegedly escaped from the Orleans Justice Center along with nine other inmates. Of those involved, all but Massey and one other inmate, Derrick Groves, have been recaptured.

In a video that has gained considerable attention on social media, Massey claims that he did not escape in the traditional sense but was released from the facility. He asserts that the circumstances surrounding his departure were misrepresented, stating, “They say that I broke out… I didn’t break out. I was let out.” This statement contradicts the official account provided by law enforcement, which described a calculated escape where inmates managed to forcibly detach a sliding cell door from its track. This incident occurred while the sole guard monitoring the pod was away attending to a meal.

Following the initial headcount, which revealed the absence of the group, authorities launched a search operation. The inmates reportedly created an escape route by separating the toilet from the wall of their cell and exited through the resulting opening. As part of their defiance, they left behind messages, with one notably reading, “LoL too easy” on a wall.

In his plea, Massey addressed multiple public figures and referred to perceived injustices he claims he has faced, stating that he was being placed at risk of life imprisonment for crimes he insists he did not commit. He specifically asked for assistance from individuals familiar with the criminal justice system, including rappers Meek Mill, Lil Wayne, and NBA YoungBoy, alongside Trump.

Massey, whose criminal record spans back to 2009, had been incarcerated since March on charges related to motor vehicle theft and domestic abuse battery that included allegations of strangulation. In addition, he is wanted by authorities in St. Tammany Parish on charges of kidnapping and rape.

The U.S. Marshals Service is currently reviewing the video, which was initially shared on Instagram before being removed the following day. The situation continues to develop as law enforcement agencies intensify their search efforts to apprehend the remaining escapees.
