North Wildwood Condo Serves as Summer Retreat for Entire Family

Deborah and Jim Fullam have cultivated a deep connection to the New Jersey Shore, building lasting memories through family trips over the years. Their journey with coastal living began in the early 1980s, when they owned a condominium in Cape May. After selling that property, the couple opted for family vacations in Sea Isle City, where they often rented houses for short stays.

In 2008, their interest in seaside living intensified when they attended an auction for condominiums at The Pointe at Moore’s Inlet in North Wildwood. Despite being initially overwhelmed by the throng of approximately 3,000 attendees at the Borgata, the Fullams realized that a significant number of those present were merely onlookers. This fortunate circumstance allowed them to successfully bid on a unit that caught their eye, drawn in by the building’s proximity to the beach and the convenience of shops and restaurants in Wildwood.

The couple further solidified their stake in coastal life in 2015 by moving to a different unit within the same building, one offering expansive ocean views. Deborah, who retired in 2021 from the pharmaceutical industry, describes their beachfront residence as a tranquil escape from their busy lives, a sentiment echoed by their family members. The home, featuring four bedrooms and three bathrooms, accommodates their two children and six grandchildren, aged 1 to 11, making every summer visit a cherished experience.

The main living area boasts a stunning view of the ocean, enhanced by a full wall of sliding glass doors. A renovated kitchen, updated in 2020, features spacious white cabinets and vibrant black and gold granite countertops, positioning it as the heart of the home where the Fullams frequently host family gatherings. They take pleasure in alternating between home-cooked meals and dining out at the many acclaimed eateries found in Cape May and neighboring towns.

Deborah’s passion for interior design has led her to spearhead home renovations, cleverly balancing family functionality with aesthetic appeal. The couple enjoys their front deck where they take in breathtaking views of the coastline, savoring mornings with coffee and evenings with cocktails in the company of loved ones.

In addition to beach leisure, Deborah and Jim engage in outdoor activities, taking long walks along the shore, exploring Cape May’s lighthouse, and visiting local shops. The Fullams’ residence at The Pointe at Moore’s Inlet has become more than just a vacation spot; it stands as a testament to family bonds and the joy of life by the sea, continually reinforcing their love for the New Jersey Shore.
