Orange County program announces search for best company culture in the 2026 Top Workplaces awards.
The Orange County Register is gearing up for the 19th annual search for exemplary workplaces within the region, inviting nominations for its prestigious Top Workplaces award. This initiative recognizes outstanding organizations that foster exceptional work environments, making it a sought-after acknowledgment for businesses throughout Orange County.
Eligible for nomination are organizations with a workforce of 35 or more employees operating in the area. This open invitation extends to a variety of entities, including public and private companies, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and government agencies. The awards aim to celebrate diverse workplaces and their commitment to employee satisfaction and engagement.
The nomination process is straightforward and free of charge, allowing anyone to highlight a company they believe stands out in terms of workplace culture and employee welfare. Participating organizations will be evaluated through an employee survey consisting of 26 questions designed to gauge various aspects of the workplace experience. This brief survey, which employees can complete in just a few minutes, provides invaluable feedback about the working environment.
The surveying period will continue through August, culminating in a comprehensive assessment of the participating organizations. In the previous year’s recognition process, the Orange County Register reached out to over 5,000 companies across the region, leading to the designation of 145 organizations as Top Workplaces based on employee input. This robust participation underlines the importance of employee satisfaction in defining a successful workplace.
Nominations for the 2026 edition of the Top Workplaces awards are due by June 19. Interested individuals or groups seeking to nominate an outstanding employer or seeking further information about the awards program can visit the official website or reach out via phone. By participating in this initiative, organizations not only gain recognition for their efforts to create positive work environments but also contribute to fostering a culture of excellence in Orange County’s labor market.
