Patti LaBelle to Perform Free ‘Victory at Sea’ Concert at Independence Hall
Patti LaBelle, the acclaimed Philadelphia soul artist, is set to headline a free concert titled “Victory at Sea” on October 12, 2023, at Independence Mall. This event commemorates the 250th anniversary of the United States Navy and Marine Corps, marking a significant milestone in American military history.
LaBelle, renowned for her chart-topping hits such as “New Attitude” and “Lady Marmalade,” will perform alongside the United States Navy Band and the U.S. Marine Corps Drum and Bugle Corps. In addition to LaBelle’s participation in this significant event, she is also expected to perform in a concert alongside R&B legends Chaka Khan, Stephanie Mills, and Gladys Knight in Atlantic City just days later. The “Victory at Sea” concert will be broadcast in its entirety on C-SPAN, with expectations for other media partners to air segments of the performance.
