Ray J reaffirms racketeering allegations against Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner.

Ray J, the R&B singer known professionally as William Ray Norwood Jr., has reiterated his allegations of racketeering against reality television stars Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner, asserting that their actions related to a well-publicized sex tape demonstrate their involvement in a criminal enterprise. This renewed legal confrontation comes on the heels of a defamation lawsuit filed by Kardashian and Jenner against Ray J in October 2025.

In documents recently submitted in court, Ray J seeks to have the defamation suit dismissed on the grounds that he believes Kardashian and Jenner have engaged in violations of the federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act. He maintains that their alleged fraudulent activities and extortion tactics have been a consistent pattern of behavior since the release of the sex tape that first surfaced in 2007, despite being filmed consensually in 2003.

Ray J claims that Kardashian and Jenner “defrauded” him into agreeing to silence regarding the sex tape, which played a pivotal role in Kardashian’s rise to fame. The singer further alleges that the pair collaborated with Vivid Entertainment to manipulate the narrative surrounding the tape’s release by claiming that Kardashian did not authorize its public distribution, an assertion he categorically disputes. He argues that these claims were fabricated to generate public interest.

In his countersuit, Ray J alleges that the Kardashian family attempted to extort him after he mentioned the sex tape on a podcast in 2024. He asserts that he has become increasingly knowledgeable about racketeering laws, even utilizing AI tools for research purposes, and he firmly believes that Kardashian and Jenner’s actions constitute a violation of RICO statutes.

Additionally, Ray J has compared their alleged racketeering conduct to high-profile cases in the music industry, referencing the recent acquittal of Sean “Diddy” Combs on similar charges, insisting that Kardashian and Jenner’s actions are equally egregious.

The defamation suit initiated by Kardashian and Jenner, which targets Ray J for what they describe as “malicious” assertions regarding their business practices, was sparked by comments he made during a documentary and subsequent public appearances. In his countersuit, Ray J is seeking million in damages while alleging that the two have breached a previous settlement agreed upon regarding the sex tape.

As this legal battle unfolds, representatives for Ray J and the Kardashian-Jenner family have yet to provide public comments. This ongoing feud, steeped in allegations of deception and exploitation, continues to capture public interest as it intersects with broader discussions surrounding celebrity culture, media influence, and personal privacy.

As the situation develops, both parties remain entangled in a complex legal landscape, highlighting the intricate interplay between fame, public perception, and the law.
