Sloomoo Institute, an immersive slime playground, opens at King of Prussia Mall for the holiday season.

The King of Prussia Mall has recently expanded its offerings with the introduction of a unique sensory attraction, the Sloomoo MiniMoo, which marks the first location of the Sloomoo Institute in the Philadelphia area. This innovative venue, a 3,000-square-foot scaled-down version of its flagship stores, offers patrons the opportunity to engage in slime-making experiences while also browsing an array of related merchandise.

Located next to H&M on the upper level of the Plaza by Eataly, the Sloomoo MiniMoo allows visitors to customize their slime creations by choosing from a variety of textures, colors, scents, and embellishments for a price ranging from to per person. Participants can engage in various activities such as launching slime with a slingshot, exploring immersive slime vats, and attending slime-making workshops. Additionally, the venue features a retail space where customers can purchase slime toys and other sensory gifts without a ticket purchase.

The Sloomoo Institute was co-founded by Sara Schiller and Karen Robinovitz, who initially launched the brand in New York in 2019 as a means of finding joy after enduring personal hardships. The concept gained significant traction during the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly on social media platforms like TikTok, leading to the establishment of locations in major cities across the United States, including Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, and Los Angeles. The company reportedly generates up to .3 million in monthly revenue from ticket sales alone.

At its inaugural weekend, the Sloomoo MiniMoo welcomed its first customers and plans to celebrate its grand opening with special activities this Saturday. The first 200 ticketed visitors will receive complimentary hot chocolate and a limited-edition Philly Cheesesteak-themed slime, and the first 100 guests will be given a bag charm.

The King of Prussia Mall continues to thrive amidst challenges faced by other retail locations in the Philadelphia area. In addition to the Sloomoo MiniMoo, the mall has introduced several other new retail and dining options, including Lululemon, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Mejuri, signaling its commitment to providing a dynamic shopping experience.

As the holiday shopping season approaches, the mall anticipates additional patrons looking for the latest trends and interactive experiences, reflective of its ongoing evolution as a premier retail destination. With a range of new additions set to open soon, including the world’s first interactive Netflix House and a newly launched Eataly, the King of Prussia Mall is positioning itself as a go-to venue for both shopping and entertainment.

Looking ahead, upcoming openings within the mall include stores such as Princess Polly, Mavi Jeans, and the electric vehicle showroom for Rivian. With ongoing developments, the King of Prussia Mall aims to remain a prominent player in the competitive retail landscape.
