The deceased has been identified as Brandyn Waters, a resident of Paterson. According to police reports, officers responded to a chaotic scene at the intersection of 6th Avenue West and North 13th Street around 11:40 p.m. Upon their arrival, they found five victims on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds, amidst what authorities described as an unruly crowd. Waters had sustained a critical gunshot wound to the chest and was subsequently pronounced dead at University Hospital in Newark.
