Three suspects arrested in Carolina shooting that resulted in the death of a 5-year-old girl and injured her twin sibling.

The primary suspect, Shawnteza La Shay Sherman, 31, has been charged with multiple serious offenses, including murder, attempted murder, and criminal conspiracy. Alongside Sherman, a 16-year-old male has been apprehended, charged with a weapons violation for possessing a firearm while underage. On the same day, law enforcement officials identified and arrested a third suspect, a male juvenile, who faces charges of murder, attempted murder, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. He is currently being held at a Department of Juvenile Justice facility in Columbia.
The shooting is believed to be gang-related, according to Sheriff Hobert Lewis, who described the assailants as individuals engaged in reckless violence.
