Three teenagers killed in Cadillac crash with SUV on Belt Parkway in Brooklyn.
In a tragic incident on the Belt Parkway in Brooklyn, three teenage boys lost their lives late Wednesday night when their Cadillac Escalade collided with an SUV. The crash took place at approximately 11:35 p.m. in the eastbound lanes, near Exit 1 at 65th Street in the Bay Ridge neighborhood, according to local law enforcement officials.
The vehicle involved in the accident, a black 2002 Cadillac Escalade, was transporting five teenage boys when it collided with a black 2024 Honda HR-V. Emergency medical personnel quickly responded to the scene and transported the injured boys to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn. Tragically, three of the teenagers, aged 16, 17, and 18, succumbed to their injuries. Their identities have not yet been disclosed by authorities.
The two surviving boys, aged 18 and 16, are currently receiving medical attention, although their conditions have not been publicized. It remains uncertain which of the teenagers was operating the vehicle at the time of the crash.
On the other side, the driver of the Honda HR-V, a 46-year-old woman, and her passenger, a 44-year-old woman, were also taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn. Fortunately, they are reported to be in stable condition, having sustained injuries from the collision.
The New York City Police Department (NYPD) is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this devastating accident. As of now, no charges have been filed against either party involved, and authorities continue to piece together the details of the crash.
